Many people say. I lost my smile, so I'm depressed so much…….
Watching our society through the news, we can surely say living in Korea is not that happy. According to a recent statistic survey, the best job which 20s prefer was public officer. This result shows our society is unstable. And it is sure that if society becomes more unstable, people prefer to be more stable. However, you don't have to be upset about it. Someone say that 'No one can easily predict future.' We have a word 'If.' We can have hope and be comforted just thinking about 'What happens to me if……?' 'If I were…….' Of course, people's feelings can be changed by using a word 'If.'

Frustrated word 'If'
'If I was born in a rich family, I could attend a better university…….' We can't be happy if we have in our mind like this because this 'If' sentence is impossible that dreams come true. These thoughts make you miserable all the time. Many female students habitually say like this "I want my face more pretty, then I might get a  good-looking boy friend." It might be natural that people dream to be better than their present situation. However, as long as we will use this word 'If,' how about  using this word 'If' for giving happiness to you? Like this.

Happy word 'If'
‘If you could win a lottery?' You may have had this thought at least onetime. This sentence can always make us happy. It is sad that this is an impossible situation like the so-called bolt from the blue. But it helps us feel happy for a while and imagine yourself to have won the lottery. The 24-year-old in Sungkyunkwan University male student said "If I could win a lottery, I want to buy a Veloster (a new car of Hyundai). And I want to buy a mansion such as in the drama 'Secret garden.' It is just imagination but it makes me feel happy." But it is strictly under the assumption that it is better you can imagine feeling happy, but a little. Also, here a person actually accomplished the word 'If.' She got a job in 'Samsung Electronics' in March 2010, and now she designs a computer. But she refused to reveal her name and she said "I did not graduate from a prestige university in Seoul. Nevertheless I dreamed that I can join a certain big company so I did my best to put the idea into action." Also she said "When I went to school I expected that 'If I were worked in 'Samsung Electronics', what kind of computer I could design, thinking about 'if'  it makes me study hard for the goal I have imagined.

It is probably impossible to win the lottery. But someone entered a big company or someone always thought that love was a hormone disease, one day he/she fell in love with her/him because of unexpected love came to them. Or someone received a bonus in his/her company so the extra money made him/her happy. Like this, our life has hope due to nobody can predict tomorrow's event.

It seems that people of the world have suffered depression. Now we've heard of everything about people who can easily commit suicide. This moment the word 'If' is a very supportive word during the times that we lived in. Change in attitude can live a totally different life. Imagining a word 'If' can lead to positive view of life and a bit of zest in our life. Through easier situations in daily life rather than the example above, we can think of a better tomorrow than today. Chances are only  prepared for such as she entered the 'Samsung Electronics' mentioned above. If you try to prepare yourselves with the idea, who will know that what you imagined unfolds in front of you. You must not suppose that I'm unfortunate, just the use of a word 'If' and try to live the dream you wish for and life will be brighter tomorrow.
