A signboard hanging ceremony for the classroom, which was named after 'Kurbo Suk-Joo Shin', was held on 12 April. Suk-Joo Shin, who is our alumnus, had graduated from DKU in 1979 with studying Chemical Engineering. He is now a CEO of Kurbo industrial company, is mainly focused on designing and constructing environment facilities. Mr. Shin has donated scholarships for students since 2007 and is planning to keep it going. He has donated 280 million won till now and 23 students benefited from 98 million won. He said that "It will be a great honor for me if someone who can contribute to our society turns up from the his named classroom." In conclusion, he mentioned that "I'm willing to give a hand for developing DKU to foster the young generation."
