Tae-Hwan Park(Dept. of Physical Education) won a gold medal in the men's 400-meter freestyle in the FINA World Championships on July 24. Seven students from DKU headed to Shanghai in order to support Park for the Championships. He touched first, overwhelming the other competitive swimmers and won first place. Afterwards, a welcome ceremony was held at Jukjeon campus on August for him. He said "I was very surprised to hear that students came to Shanghai to support me and it gave me a huge boost." in attendance.
