The Korean team of Summer Universiade which Hosung Chang, president of DKU led ranked the third with winning 28 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 30 bronze medals during this competition. The total number of medals is the best score ever. Hosung Chang had enough experience as a leader including the Italy Winter Universiade in 2003. According to recent interview with Daily UNN, Hosung Chang said "It is very important to have government support and public interest to produce as good results in sporting events as those in this Universiade."
