4.19 Memorial Day


The students are gathering together at the main stadium to participate in '4.19 Memorial Walk and Bum-Jung football tournament.'

On April 18, the 4.19 Memorial Walk was held at Cheonan Campus. The event was held in memory of the students of the 4.19 Revolution and to praise the deceased patriots who gave their lives. After students prayed silently in the main stadium together, they walked around Cheonhoji Lake, which is located in the center of campus. They enjoyed seeing spring flowers that bloomed in our university, and they calmed their heavy minds from exam stress.
The Bum-Jung Football Tournament started at 5:00 p.m. in the main stadium. Before the tournament began, students wrote down the team they expected to win on lottery tickets. FC SOUL and FC Bub-Jung (College of Law and Public Administration) advanced to the finals. Each game had a running time of 30 minutes. Players were serious like professionals, and the crowds went wild. FC SOUL came from behind to win for a final score of 4:2. During the game, comedian Ki-Su Byun interviewed students sitting in the stands.
After the football tournament was over, the 4.19 OX Quiz started. When students got the answers wrong, most of them went home cooly, but some stayed to show their disappointment. After that, football game awards were presented. FC SOUL expressed greater joy about their happy memories than getting a prize, and they enjoyed the thrill of victory. The Dankook Herald (DKH) hopes to often see scenes of Dankookians united like this in the future.
