On April 13, the 2nd Ger Mongolian Festival was held at the ger hill next to the Yulgok Memorial Library and College of Arts at Cheonan Campus. This festival was hosted by the Institute for Mongolian Studies (IMS) and the Department of Mongolian Studies. Festivities started at 10:00 a.m. Dankookians could experience building a Mongolian ger and Mongolian food tasting. In addition, the consular of the Embassy of Mongolia in South Korea gave a lecture entitled, "The era of Northeast Asia in the 21st century and the status of Mongolia." Mongolian cultural performances opened with a blessing ceremony of R. Chultemsuren (Professor, Dept. of Mongolian Studies) about gers. Department of Mongolian Studies students sang songs and read of poems. Finally, a group of Mongolian performers presented a traditional performance and the festival came to an end.
