Dankook University invited a group of Vietnamese agricultural experts and farmers for some agro-technological training. Supported by the Korea Rural Corporation, the training was a success, and ran from September 16 to 28 in the Pharmacy Building at Cheon-an Campus.

▲ The training went off successfully with Vietnam agribusinessmen.

The purpose of the program, named as ‘Vietnam’s Vegetable Growth and Post-Harvest Management Process’ was to instruct participants on leading farming techniques by applying Korean high-quality, high-yielding experiences and advanced agricultural technologies to farming practices currently in use in Vietnam.

There were discussional lectures and tours offered during the training, and through a presimulation with experts, the participants will be able to effectively introduce these new ideas to their practices when they return to Vietnam. The training also included education about an Agricultural Marketing Policy for Vietnamese agriculture officials with regards to Vietnam’s evolving agriculture
practices.

Furthermore, there were industrial inspections, tourism and home-visits included in the training. It was a good opportunity to promote a social and cultural understanding of Korea and to strengthen the status of our country
