Cheonan campus held symposiums on improving health care and developing a new medicine with the government, local government officials and experts for two days in a row. On April 7, our university and Chungcheongnam-do co-hosted the symposium for celebrating 38th anniversary of ‘World Health Day.’
On that day, the issue of symposium focused on improving the oral hygiene of
Chungcheongnam-do’s citizens. In-Ho Cho, the vice president of DKU, gave his thoughts briefly “DKU was developed as a bioscience cluster which represents Chungnam through newly establishing the College of Pharmacy,” “We are
honored that such an important symposium as this can be held at DKU.”
Meanwhile, Yong-Bum Cho, the director of Dankook University Dental Hospital(DUDH) said “By establishing the center which will offer medical services for people with disabilities, DUDH has an opportunity to turn into an organization
which pays attention to health services.” DUDH was chosen as the center which offers medical services for people with disabilities from the Ministry of Health and Welfare in last year.
Next day, the symposium on developing new medicines was
held in the auditorium of the College of Medicine with health professionals. This symposium concentrated on efficient ways to research and develop new drugs. This symposium was held for making the best place that is suitable for the study of bioscience and to revitalize local institutions for clinical demonstrations and
advanced medical care complexes at Osong, to restructure the pharmaceutical industry and etc.
