Reward on Plot UN Conference among Univ. Students

Last July 7, there was the Plot UN Conference at Busan Pukyong National University. This contest was the 16th annual and it’s the most influential international conference among Korean University students. This conference is under the actual UN conference rules. But the purpose of it is to find would be diplomats who will do their best for world peace with pursuing their national interests beyond the politics. DKMUN (the club of Dept of Political Science and International Relations at Jukjeon campus) gathered students from all majors who wanted to participate in the contest. And they helped them to prepare for it. The winners’ topic was ‘The rights of the disabled across the world’ and their task were as diplomats of Paraguay potentially as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. They visited the Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade so that they could learn international

issues and experience the culture. So they visited the Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and learned international issues and experienced Paraguayan culture to prepare for this conference as simulated diplomats. They performed well and they the received the glory of an award named ‘Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade’and the opportunity of joining actual UN conference.
