Dankook University (DKU) will open the Graduate School of Cinematic Content to foster worldwide experts in movie industry. On November 16, President Hosung Chang, Dong-Ho Kim, and university professors held a press conference at Gwanghwamun Press Center. DKU is planning to make the Graduate School of Cinematic Content the top institution for film expert incubating in Korea.
For this program, the university has constructed a number of facilities, such as the university movie theater, tiered classrooms, a sound studio and editing rooms in the new West Hall at Jukjeon Campus. Dong-Ho Kim (Dean of the Graduate School of Cinematic Content) and some well-known film staff members are employed as professors.
"I have seen growth and recession in the Korean movie industry, so I felt a sence of urgency to fix the problems and limitations," said Dean Kim (previously Chairman of the Busan International Film Festival). "That's why I have decided to foster tomorrow's movie experts through my own experience." The forum concluded with a dinner reception at Kitchen Tri.
