A common worry around twenties is to get a job. At the beginning of the first semester, junior students decide their own career and are ready to get a job. They begin to build their own ‘pecification(Spec)’such as licenses, TOEIC scores and a lot of voluntary experiences. However, there are young men who begin their career by own. These men are young CEOs. They start business at the early age by their own money with a creative mind, ambition and challenge. They would not suffer from pressure to find employment but starting business like a big sense of duty always follows them.

Jang Jeong-Yun is only 33 years old, but she is a CEO of ‘go-Ji and Friends’! who has about 70 franchises across the whole of Korea and three overseas. Her business started by chicken skewers in a street stall to earn money for language study abroad when she was a freshman. And the business became a respectable company. The reason she begin business was simply unexpectedly. She said with laughing that “ince I was young, my parents always said ‘e will be responsible for you until you are 19 and then you will have had to be responsible for yourself. So, I thought that It was natural to answer for my life when I got 20. Therefore, I started to work to practice my parents’ word. At that time, I was so young but anyway, I began to make money.”!

She is a successful CEO but she also thought about getting a job. “nce I worked in a hotel as a trainee and the hotel manager suggested continuously working there. Maybe he liked me. However, I wanted to do my best on my own rather than work for a salary so I started the business. I can fully play to my real ability as it is my own. It would be an attractive and different point. If I do not work hard, the work will fail.”And she said the important thing to start business, “t is not what you make money by but why you make money. Most people who work to earn money without clear goals would not start again after they fail once. However, think of Bill Gates. He still works even if he is the richest man in the world. Does he still work because he lacks money? No, he isn’. He wants to help change the society by his products and that is why he still works. In my case, I have cured a puppy from car accident by my money. I felt that ‘ saved a life! Money can rescue life!’After I do business, I can just pray for the poor but I found an effective way to help them through their troubles.”

About her future plan, she said “ want to open a vegetable steak restaurant. It is said that four-legs animals are not healthier for human. Next is a bird, fish and finally is vegetable. When we eat out, almost every dish is mainly based on meat. Pork, beef and even the broth is made by meat. There are people suffering from atopia skin disease and this is because we use excessive antibiotics in domestic animals. These days, vegetables are being used to produce feedstuff forlivestock. If one of these business that I am thinking now becomes a trend and spreads throughout our country and the world, it will be beneficial for animals and healthier people.”!

There are many young people who want to establish their own business but they don’ know exactly how to start it. The Dankook Herald will introduce the ‘i-Seoul Business School’program. This program provides not only business education but also offering many services such as funds, consulting, business guidance and so on for those who are preparing a business. The curriculum will consist of six courses: general business, venture business, digital-contents business, internet business, fashion business and management consulting business and you can choose one of them. The course is taught by professional lecturer, professors and CEO in the business. They evaluate a business plan, assignment, student's achievement and attendance. Students are mainly between thirties and fifties, but twenties students are increasing rapidly. Actually, about 30% of students who completed all courses, have established their own business and are working in the field.

What is the meaning of business for wenties? It does not just mean a way to gain money but it is a supplement to make your dream into reality. You can administer your goods, market and furthermore you can manage your employees with great leadership. It is a passion for all young people. However, business can give you frustration despite your effort. It may go down in a short time so, there is no guarantee. You need to be prepared and the ability to forecast is also required in business. There are many responsibilities and tasks to handle. Despite all these tough things, many young people will continue to try their way to becoming a businessman.
