Backpacking in Japan with only 500,000 won for eight days and seven nights, alone! I traveled to Kansai with dreaming of a freedom of breaking away from daily life and carrying a sense of independence and self-confidence through adventure by myself, and to learn an advanced culture. Even if I can't show everything in this place, let's have a feel of Japan from these pictures!

This place is the Namba Station and surroundings of Osaka. I wandered around for two hours in order to find the cheapest lodge and finally I found a lodge helped by a Korean. But I had to act charming and make the owner feel pity for me as a student traveller, so I could lower the price. After I unpacked, I entered the famous Ramen store on Main Street. These noodles danced in my mouth and soup made by beef leg bone made my body feel flying.

This place is an Osaka Castle. Osaka Castle, one of Japan's three castles, emitted light more and more because it is placed in the center of a city. Beautiful waterway enclosing the castle urged me to swim and was a gorgeous sight from the top of the castle. For reference, there were many Korean rather than Japanese.

This place is a Kyoto. Kyoto is a place like Gyeongju, it is not too much to say besides that whole city is a historical site. Since Japan's native culture is dwelling in it, Japanese with Kimonos caught my eyes Rickshaw-pullers hung around with a smile in and around the historic sites and bus drivers set kindness as a best value. It is quite a different image from our nation.

This is a Nara. Nara was in harmony with nature. As you can see in the picture above, a roe deer herd were gamboling in the park and they even ran onto the street. So policemen were always there.

This place is Wakayama adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. I suspected my eyes watching the beautiful sea which spread along the shore line. I never forgot the seafood that I roasted and ate it as I was watching the sea.

It is a Denjinmasseuri - one of Japan's three festivals. About 100 boats carrying a person sailed a river with an energetic voice. During the night, beautiful fireworks changed from night to daytime all over the city. Even if I felt lonely but graceful Japanese shared together that night cheered me up.

Through this trip, I learned the advance culture of Japanese, what I also know is  the love of my nation and the most important thing is I learned about myself. Although I couldn't show everything about Japan in this article, Japan made my head and my heart very happy. I think that learning about other nations is also learning about yourself.
