Famous comedian Kim Hyeon-cheol visited our school on Nov. 12. His lecture was held in Hyedang Hall at 3:00p.m. His face seemed strained, but was full of passion. He introduced guests to his life and talked about how he became a famous comedian, and now a conductor for an orchestra as well as a professor at the Seoul Arts-Occupational Training College (SART). “I am indeed glad to lecture at a Dankook University (DKU). I studied more than one year to enter my university. It was difficult to get accepted to the School of Theater and Film at DKU. The department was very famous in Seoul,” his lecture stirred his memories of old times at DKU. “I was always a moodmaker and game leader since my early years. I would later become a comedian, and I am now currently conductor of an orchestra and a professor at SART,” he said of his ceaseless drive for success.
It was a good lecture for graduating students. They were easily inspired from his ability to take on challenges and succeed. While students were slow to arrive at the start of the lecture, by 4p.m. the room had filled up.
