 On October 17-18, 2017, the international joint seminar of SuperTEC (Super Tall Building Global R&BD Center) and Partner Universities for the 70th anniversary of Dankook University (DKU), “Digital Design and Construction IT for Buildings”, started in the International Hal. With that, DKU has been honored by the visit of guest lecturers from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Professor Mihaly Szoboszlai and Professor Levente Malyusz and from Tongji University, Professor Li Guo-Qiang and Professor Wang Zhengdong. Moreover, there are Professor Lee Sang Ho from Yonsei University, Professor Chin Sang Yoon from Sungkyunkwan University, Professor Cho Hoon-Hee from Korea University and Professor Kim Chee Kyeong of Dankook University. 

 The session began with a very welcoming opening address by vice-president Kim Byung-ryang on behalf of President Chang Ho-seong, followed by the opening address by the director of SuperTEC program, Professor Lan Chung. The special lecture focused on the SuperTEC program, facing the several challenges of super-tall buildings and to develop future technology in the market. With the opening of this seminar, it signified not only the initiative of DKU taking towards addressing a global focus, but also the efforts of DKU in strengthening and fostering the bond of partner universities for the future in the exchange of human resources and academic field.

 The program has significantly provided students, especially students of the architecture school, a brand-new insight and experience into recognizing the global topic, namely the super-tall building trend in the global environment through this seminar.
