Last September 20th, the late student of Department of Korean Language and Literature, Kim Eun-Yang, mother of Kim So-ye, delivered 27,000,000 won to Dankook University (DKU) as scholarship. Kim So-ye entered Department of Korean Language and Literature in 2013 and left of absence from school after completing her third year.
“DKU ambassador, the member of Global Talent Network (GTN), and also the member of DKU student advisory group (Eungabi). She was really active in school works. She used to stay near school rather than home. I guess she still thinks of DKU a lot.” said Kim. Kim So-ye struggled against leukemia, the cancer of the blood cells, since 15 years old. However she never loosed hope of full recovery during the time. She was once diagnosed to be completely cured but the disease relapsed after her college admission. Kim said she wanted to deliver her daughter’s mind who was so delighted of love and help that she got.
