To welcome the new semester, the Dankook University Jukjeon Campus Toegye Memorial Central Library held the “Book Village Festival”, which is a library week event from September 17th to 21st. It was set up at the 3rd floor lobby of the library. At the book fair, 2000 recently published books were on display, and students got the chance to read and purchase it. There was also a book market that feature best sellers with a 10% discount, with a few booths selling accessories and stationaries.

Besides that, the library week also featured special lectures by well-knowned author and professors. One of them was Professor Hyunjoon Yoo, who is the principal of Hyunjoon Yoo Architects, a reknowned professional in his studies. Another was a fellow Dankookian, Professor Seo Min, a parasitologist with published books and television appearances.

The event that was most looked-forward to was the “Moonlight Reading Camp”. It was a overnight event held from 20th September until the morning of the next day, with students reading, writing their thoughts and sharing them together. There were also other activities included like movies, snack time, fun quizes, and free debate and discussion. It was a great opportunity for students of all ages and majors to gather around, read books and enjoy some time together.
It was an eventful library week filled with activities targeted for different audiences. It was definitely a good chance to get to know more people, gain knowledge, and kick start the new semester.
