On 4th April, the lunchtime special lecture given by Professor Choi Su-han from the Mobile Systems Engineering department was held in the Humanities lecture hall 210 from 12 pm to 1 pm. The lecture was firstly focused on the upcoming 5G era, and the contents of this lecture were divided into two main parts: The imaginative future using 5G and the full potential of 5G to be realized.

The talk covered the topics starting from the first usage of 5G, outline of the 5G technology, the vision of the world developers and researchers of what 5G will be able to do, the evolution of technology - from 3G, 4G to 5G, usage scenarios for 5G and final key performance indicators of 5G compared to the previous generations. To give a better idea and little sneak peek into the world of 5G, the implementation of a self-driving car, augmented reality, a concept of smart home/building to downloading Gigabytes worth of file size in a second will become all possible.
Throughout and after the end of the lecture, students were keen to ask questions regarding the topics. By this short but special lecture, many students were able to learn more about 5G and picture the future of the world with 5G.
