Professor Lim Hyung-taik, an honorary professor at Sungkyunkwan University, gave a lecture hosted by Japan Institute of DKU and the Humanities Korea Plus Institute (called HK+ institute) of DKU.

The main content of the lecture was the structural similarity of the novel and the characteristics of each novel, comparing the novel "Hongrumong" in China with "Gouunmong," a novel written by Kim Man-jung in the Choseon Dynasty. Furthermore, he said that the modern significance of these novels is exploring the modern elements found between Korean novels and Chinese novels.
Through these lectures, students and professors became aware of novels in East Asia and expanded the concept of modern novels.
