On Thursday, September 26, at 2p.m, a lecture of classic reading was held at the humanities hall of Dankook University's Jukjeon Campus. The lecture was given by Professor ‘Shin Mi-sam’ who is a professor of writing class of Dankook University. In this Classical Reading special lecture, students were more familiar with the classics, mainly explaining the significance of the classics and the list of recommended classical books chosen by Dankook University(DKU). Also, among the classical book writers, lecture is continued to the work of the author ‘Walden’ and its impact to the society. In fact, influenced by the work of the author Walden, various cultural contents were created. For example, the movie 'The Dead Poets Society' and one of the Korean entertainment show 'The Little House in the Forest.‘ Through this special lecture, Professor ’Shin Mi-sam’ expressed her wish that students would have a positive view of the classics, which they always considered difficult, and learn about the true value of classics.
