Are there any Dankookians (Students of Dankook University) who want to try various majors in a short time without burden? “If a student majoring in law has interests in autonomous vehicles, they should be able to take mechanical engineering courses.” Dankook University (DKU) set up ‘micro major’ course system starting from this idea.

A micro major course is made to cultivate Dankookians who can converge in various fields. It can provide chances by accessing other studies for those interested in other majors or offering education to those who have future jobs unrelated to their current major. Compared to other multiple major systems such as ‘double major,’ which requires 42 to 63 credits, and ‘minor,’ which requires more than 21, micro major requires only 12. However, Dankookians must know that this micro major system cannot confer a degree on the field, unlike other multiple major systems.

The DKU is giving Dankookians chances to try out micro major tracks as Jukjeon Campus conducts 54 tracks, and Cheonan Campus 56. Dankookians in their sophomore to senior years can apply for the micro major system at DKU Portal. Go to the ‘web info’ section, click ‘school affairs,’ then ‘school register administration.’ Then in ‘major application,’ click ‘micro major.’ Find the perfect field for you by trying out courses in other majors with the micro major course system.
