DKU Winning the Grand Prize at the Evaluation of Science and Technology Practical Project

   Dankook University (DKU) has chosen the best project group among the six universities in the first year of the evaluation of Science and Technology Practical Project organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT in Korea. The purpose of the project is to train graduate students into professionals. "We established a department of Science and Technology Policy at a General Graduate School and selected 50 new students who will lead the practical use of digital healthcare and AI-based high-tech machinery. We are planning to cultivate about 40 to 50 master’s and doctorate annually with 6.8 billion won given by the government by 2027," Lim Sung-han, the Director General, said.

   The Department of Science and Technology Policy consists of three parts, which are Science and Technology Policy, Science and Technology Practices, and Science and Technology Start-ups. In Science and Technology Policy, students study science and technology policy data, artificial intelligence, and technology innovation policies. In Science and Technology Practice, technology value evaluation, technology practice strategy, and technology prediction and planning are learned. Subjects such as business feasibility analysis and start-up policies are studied in the field of Science and Technology Start-ups. Lim said, "We will keep advancing the practical education system to achieve the development of science and technology."
