   Yulgok Memorial Library (YML) is hosting a reading event for the first semester to promote library usage and encourage the development of reading habits. The event started on March 27 and runs until May 17 for Dankookians on the Cheonan campus and also graduate students.

   The event contains various activities such as “Making Your Study” and “Book Evaluation for Others.” In the “Making Your Study activity”, participants select a specific topic of interest, read three to five books related to the topic, and write a 1,000 to 1,500 characters description on the YML website. In “The Book Evaluation for Others activity”, the students upload their evaluations or reviews of a book between 300 and 700 characters on the YML website.  All the essays will be evaluated, and the winners will be announced on May 31. Winning entries will be posted in the library's lobby on the 4th floor, on the YML website, and social media platforms. The winners can also receive several awards, including Air Pods and Kodak Polaroid Cameras.

   This would be an excellent opportunity for book lovers to engage in fun and meaningful activities related to reading. Interested participants can find more information on the YML website, and applications can be submitted through a private non-curricular program for Young熊Story.  The Dankook Herald recommends you enjoy various reading activities and become closer to reading through this event.
