Dankookians' Singing Contest: Danumjae

At 5:00p.m. 2009 Danumjae started with the entrance of the MC on the stage. Danumjae is a contest for selected students to match their singing skills, where entry is gained through a preliminary contest on May 12. The judges, consisting of the president of the Student's Union, the president and vice-president of the College of Music, the respective presidents of the College of Arts and Crafts, Natural Sciences, Architecture, and the College of Law participated in the contest. Hyo-dong Kim, the first contestant, sang ‘My Everything.’ In the second performance, Young-gu Sim and Ji-ho Jang sang 'Propose.' Following them, So-young Lee, the only lady participant of the contest, sang 'A Tear Not Flow.' The MC went up on the stage and solved nonsense quiz with the audience during the break time. After the quiz Jin-wok Seo and Seong-jin Jung sang 'Say with Staring at Eyes' and Gwang-eun Lee sang 'Memory Resembles Love.' After the former performance, there was another quiz. The quiz ended, and then Mun-su Sin and Yung-chan Jung sang 'Superman' with an amusing dance performance. In the next set there were 'Baby Baby' by Il-hwan Seo, 'Confession of Friend' by Se-hun Mun, Won-sun Ji, and Yoon-gu Ji, and 'The Polestar' by Jong-wu Woo. In the last set, Hyeon-seong Song sang 'Incomplete,’ and all the participants' performanced together to end the competition. Directly, the ceremony for awarding prizes was held. The president and vice-president of the Students Union called the winners on the stage. The third and second prizes went to a team song 'Superman' and a team song 'Confession of Friend' respectively. The first prize was awarded to the only lady participant of this contest, So-young Lee and her song 'A Tear Not Flow.' At 19:00, Danumjae ended.
