It has been two years since Dankook University moved from Seoul to Jukjeon. There were some problems at first, but we all overcame that and settled down successfully. However, students show lower interest in the school than in the past.  The university prepared a lot of things for new located school even before it moved to Jukjeon, but it is great pity that student's concern about the school seems to disappear a while ago.

We're sorry for students without any interest in school; we should devote our energy to the growth of school.
- Jae-Pil Kim, the chief of Developments and Cooperation
Q. What project is on the way with Yongin-si?
- If public officials enter the graduate School of Special Education, they could receive a scholarship. We hold various events. The 'Fly a blue sky, Run a green ground' event will be held on September 17, in which a lot of citizens of Yongin-si and Dankook university students would participate.
Q. In addition, are there any works under consideration?
- We proposed to make new bus routes and a crosswalk in front of Shinsegae department store. We are also planning to support a lifelong education program for local residents.

We are much interested in DKU
- Kyung-Tae Kim, Yong-in city council member
Q. Why do you support DKU?
- We think that if we could contribute to the study condition of university students, Yongin-si's future values would be enhanced. So we decided to sponsor DKU. On April, 2009, we contracted a memorandum of understanding with DKU.
Q. What are you going to support?
We are concentrating our efforts on Dankookian's employment. Now we are examining the plan to offer jobs to them firstly, contacting Samsung and others, which are in Yong-in city. Furthermore, we are planning to realize some union festivals in which other universities of Yong-in city can also participate.
Q. What do you think about the future of Yong-in city and DKU?
Now DKU can cooperate with different parts of our community. If the best brains of university join industry, the research institute and the city hall of Yongin-si, DKU and Yongin City would receive win-win benefit.

Jukjeon welcomes DKU!
-Gi-Joo Lee, the chief of Jukjeon2dong office
Q. What is the response of residents?
They expected that the merit of Jukjeon would increase because of DKU's move to Jukjeon, with an increase in activity in the area near the university.
Q. What services are available for Dankookian?
They can use Jukjeon Library, if college library is busy during the exam period. Once you become a member through the internet, you can receive your seat number. On holiday you are able to participate in community volunteer service. Apart from that, you can make a volunteer service program with Jukjeon-dong office. You can also use the lecture room of the resident center in Jukjeon.

Every Dankookian would have felt distressed when they heard the notice that DKU would move to Jukjeon. However, not only the school but also Yongin city and even its people are making efforts to develop our school. Why don't you find out about the improvements in the educational environment after our school moved, instead of complaining about it? Dankook university with the title of 'the first out-of-Seoul university' is going hand in hand with Yongin city to move one step forward. There will be some difficulties in this process, but if the school and students join forces with Yongin city to develop Dankook university, nothing would be impossible.
