Bonus! What did articles got the best reviews last year?

1. Issue 290 <Culture> 'New Culture in the Technology Era'
At that time, because of the Obama Syndrome, his presentation ability was well paid attention to. So this article caught the trend and had great content. The advice on becoming a good presenter was good, too.

2. Issue 291 <Herald Focus> 'Outsider'
This article explains about the Outsiders. It classifies the types of Outsiders and delightfully presents the method of escaping from Outsiders. It is funny and easy to read. Also, it made the readers think about the Outsiders who are always around us.

3. Issue 292 <People> 'Pil-Sung Im's Constant Challenge'
He is not a famous director, but he won a prize in an international film festival through his first movie. When he was a student at our university, he majored in English. But, he became a movie director. It was such an unusual example. His advice about the process of realizing a dream and the difference between a dream and a reality, which is our biggest worry, was a good topic for us. The 4 colorful photos on the first page are motivated from Andy Warhol’s images. Can you believe it?

4. Issue 293 <Herald Focus> '880,000 Won Generation'
This article got the first review from Dankookians in Herald. When we were writing this article, we were concerned that the answers of interview didn't match with the flow of the article, and it was so hard to get the foreign countries’ materials. Nevertheless, this article received good reviews about the content.

5. Issue 294 <Herald Focus> 'Hey, Buddy!'
This article is about the daily life of foreign exchange students at our school. We thought they excluded us from them, but they didn't. They wanted to become intimate with us. When the reporter interviewed them, he was astonished because they were so Korean! After this interview, they became friends and sometimes he goes to drinking with them.

New change of 2010!
1. Evolution of the newspaper!
We changed the magazine to the tabloid and increased the frequency of publication from five to ten times a year. This is so that we can meet readers more frequently than before. Actually, we want to use the word 'development' than just ‘change’ because the peculiar accessibility of newspaper helps to approach students more frequently. We can get to the readers more often that before due to the characteristics of the newspaper. This way it will be a chance to being high valued in content not just a change of form. Look forward to our brand new Herald! Coming soon!
2. Increased chances of student participation
We will prepare new opportunities to take part in DKH for you as student reporters. You can write your own articles and can read articles which are filling up with experiences that were written by fellow students, not just reporters.
3. Creating kickers only for D-VOICE!
Most of the students don't know D-Voice well, which is the Dankook University media homepage. Most university presses have their own websites, but students don't use them well. So we are going to create new kickers suited to web characteristic. We have been doing Herald Focus at DKH, but it will soon be born on the web as well.

This issue is not a kind of remembrance, but this Herald Focus of Issue 295 is the last as a kicker of magazine. Herald Focus made Dankookians think seriously about subjects. Our new change will be our turning point and will make us more developed. This year, we promise to approach student more with more news quickly and become friendlier.  Please give us your support.
