On May 15, 2010 Dankook Beomjeong National Amateur Basketball Cup was held on Gymnasium Cheonan campus. A staff of DANSMA, a club of Dept. of Sports Management prepared and operated this competition, said “The purpose of holding this competition is to create a competition where amateur teams compete and harmonize with each other since there are not many competition in amateur basketball field." “We hope that it can help to revitalize amateur basketball leagues and raise funds for helping poor neighbors" he said. "More and more teams and sponsors have taken part in this league ever since this competition was started, This is a direct example showing that this league has been growing as the best league in this country" he added. This league not only is the nation's largest amateur basketball game, but also raises money and donate it to 'Good Neighbors' for the poor neighbors. These are the reasons why this league attracts public attention. The nine-day competition was over after the team of Myongji University won the victory.
