In recognition of the upcoming Hangul Proclamation Day, Dankook University and Korea Movie Supports held a contest on Oct. 8 supported by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Gyeonggi Content Agency to promote the awareness of Korean movies by foreign students and to enhance their learning about the domestic industry.

There were several activities such as movie reports, movie poster puzzles, and finger painting. Wu ZiaZia (sophomore, Dept. of Korean Language and
Literature) was awarded the grand prize for writing a movie report about the film ‘Marathon’. Prof. Kim Okseong (Dept. of Korean Language and Literature) said,
“She did a great job depicting the experiences of the main character, who had a disorder, but never gave up on his goal to finish a marathon and his mother, who helped her son until the end.”
