On September 23, there was a special fair held at Toegye library on the third floor of the library lobby from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The purpose of this program was to improve students’ ability to use library-provided electronic resource data such as journals, academic DB, e-books, audiobooks, and video lectures, et cetera.
The contents of this fair were divided into three parts: each student visits one of the e-resource booths and participate in the explanation of e-resource data search, then get stamps on the paper for the prize.
There were several companies that provided various e-resource contents such as DBpia, GDi, Jugyeong-yadoc, Cham-Jeongbo, and Hackers, etc. Each company installed a booth and introduced a method of searching the e-resource provided by the company to students. They also helped students understand the use of e-resource by exhibiting e-books, overseas papers, electronic journals, and various online lectures. After that, students who visited each company booth were qualified for the prize. The prizes were a variety of products such as vouchers, gift card, and iPad.
By this special fair, Dankookians (students of Dankook) were able to know the importance of e-resource and gain an efficient way of using it.
