Brown Bag Lecture by Song Myeong-gu

  On October 25, ‘Brown Bag Lecture’ which is a kind of liberal lecture that is designed to enhance the basic knowledge and basic skills of students and faculty of Dankook University was held in Humanities Hall 205 at 12p.m. This lecture was conducted by Professor Song Myeong-gu, who is a professor of School of Urban Planning and Real Estate. He talked about some life stories with books he written.

  One of the books called ‘With planting a dicentra’ is about 12 stories that is a kind of gathering some experiences related human being, culture and nature while he had lived in a small countryside. He said that commune with nature is very important and emphasized the importance of life that goes with nature. Another book called ‘Waiting for Furuta’ also contains preciousness of appreciating the beauty of nature.

  Overall, Professor Song Myeong-gu tried to convey the meaning that communing and appreciating the nature is the most priceless thing that all people have to students.
