The University Innovation Support project is a three-year project supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE). The goal of this project is to establish a system for fostering creative talent in response to future social changes. The total cost of the project in 2020 was 803.1 billion won, and 143 schools were backed by MOE. Dankook University (DKU) has developed and promoted nine innovation strategies in four core fields to produce student-centered HUMART University's achievements based on comprehensive reflection on University Innovation Support Project and creative innovation.

In particular, 90 percent of the budget for the Youngê¨ Story Program is financed by DKU Innovation Support Project. Specific plans for each area are divided into education, research, industry-academic cooperation, and et cetera.

The first detailed plan for the education innovation strategy is to set up innovation in the three major areas of education, infrastructure, curriculum, and education method as a major task and to shape it into six focused programs. The second detailed plan of research innovation strategy is to set the specialization of convergence research in DKU and systematic training of subsequent generations of academics as the main tasks and to materialize them into three focused programs.

The third detailed plan of the industry-academic cooperation innovation strategy is to build an open industry-academic cooperation innovation platform and train global industrialists as major tasks and materialize them into two focused programs. Finally, the last detailed plan of other innovation strategies is to construct data analysis systems and performance management systems as major tasks and shape them into one focused program. The expansion of Learning Community, the establishment of Active Learning Classroom (ALC), and the support of customized education based on Artificial Intelligence (EduAI) are prime examples of strategies that are zealously pushing forward.
