The Digital Innovation Sharing University is a project utilizing educational programs in the field of new technologies between universities and establishing a cooperative system in industries, research institutes, societies, and private institutions to cultivate core talents at a national level. It aims to cultivate 100,000 talented people in the eight major digital new technology fields to respond to the fourth industrial revolution and enhance global competitiveness in future industries. The eight fields are ‘Bio-health’, ‘Next-generation semiconductors’, ‘Future automobiles’, ‘Artificial intelligence’, ‘Intelligent robots’, ‘Big data’, ‘Realistic media’, and ‘New energy business.’

DKU is leading as the host institution of the Bio-health sector and working along with six other universities, including Daejeon University, Wonkwang University, and Hongik University as a 'Digital-Based Bio-health Innovation Sharing University Consortium.’ The goal is to reduce the polarization in healthcare by solving the supply and demand of human effort in the biomedical industry and to develop the healthcare sector through combining big data and artificial intelligence. The ‘5D Curriculum’ for training Bio-health experts is available for both majoring and non-majoring students.

Dankookians (Students of DKU) interested in the fields of Bio-health should try out the project’s programs provided through DKU. The Dankook Herald hopes that many talents develop from this project.
