Is anyone having a hard time learning a new language and making foreign friends? This ‘Native Speaker Tutoring Class’ is the program you might be looking for! This tutoring class is an international program that Dankook University (DKU)'s International Affairs team hosts every semester. Dankookians (Students of DKU) can learn a language from a native speaker who is attending DKU as an exchange student.

   The program is held in various languages such as English, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese. Dankookians can choose the class level from beginner to advanced depending on their language skills. Every class has different tutors and curriculums. Before you apply, make sure to read the class syllabus posted on the school website and check what class will suit you the most. I am currently taking the advanced English tutoring class every Wednesday. Our class is full of activities every week, so there is no time to feel bored. Quizzes, games, debates, and numerous activities helped me concentrate in class and improve my language skills. All the participants try their best to learn and communicate. Due to the frequent interaction, the tutor and the classmates can easily become friends.

   Dankookians can apply to this program during the first 2 weeks of every semester. Check the DKU Portal announcement regularly to not miss the application date. If you want to learn a language and make foreign friends, do not hesitate to apply!
