After COVID-19, students and job seekers suffer from difficulty in employment or career with the harsh reality of a shrinking job market. The uncertainty surrounding employment and career prospects has become more pronounced. In response, Dankook University (DKU) provides more information on jobs through the ‘Job Center’ for Dankookians (Students of DKU). The Dankook Herald (DKH) would like to introduce the Job Center to give Dankookians useful information on career and employment preparation.

In 2023, recruitment decreased to 45.2 percent compared to last year, but the number of unfilled positions increased to 15.2 percent over the same period. The combination of reduced job opportunities and increased employment barriers has elevated the challenges faced by job seekers. The Job Center provides a standard of motivation and employment to university students and job seekers alike, extending its services to all, including Dankookians. This progresses through various programs such as counseling with experts, and programs of the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Accessing these services is straightforward and open to everyone, regardless of their affiliation with Dankook University. By visiting the Job Center's website or Youngê¨ Story on the DKU website, individuals can explore counseling and program options tailored to their employment and career needs. By leveraging these resources, you can gather essential information about employment and career prospects, ultimately helping you chart a path forward.

If you have concerns over employment or career, the Job Center offers a guiding light to help you navigate your way. The DKH hopes that these concerns can be alleviated through the valuable counseling services provided by the Job Center. For more information, feel free to contact 031-8021-2512~2516 on Jukjeon Campus, and 041-550-1332~1334 on Cheonan Campus.
