In October, there were several events for exchange Dankookians (Students of Dankook University). The International Student Association and Global Education Team 1 hosted ‘International Student Sports Festival’ and ‘Dankook University (DKU) International Student University Promotion Video Contest’.

  The International Student Sports Festival took place on October 13, running from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Peace Square basketball court and Open Ground. Over 100 international Dankookians participated, and the schedule included activities such as dodgeball, a lunchtime, dalgona game, relay, tug-of-war, and basketball games. The first-place winner received an umbrella, the second-place winner received a portable humidifier, and the third-place winner received a wireless phone charger. Additionally, all participants were provided with a DKU bear keychain.

  The DKU International Student University Promotion Video Contest was open for teams or individuals of undergraduate and graduate foreign Dankookians. The application period was from October 16 to 20. There were 18 applicants, consisting of 13 undergraduate teams and 5 graduate teams. The contest required participants to create a video on any topic related to DKU, with a duration of at least 1 minute but less than 3 minutes. The videos were submitted by posting them on the participants' social media accounts. The first-place team received 600,000 won, the second-place team received 400,000 won, and the third-place team received 200,000 won. The first prize was awarded to Phoebe Lee, for providing an excellent introduction to every corner of DKU.

The Dankook Herald hopes that international Dankookians can have a more diverse and enriching university life through these events. Furthermore, there will be a second round of the DKU International Student University Promotion Video Contest in November or December, specifically targeting undergraduate foreign students.
