  Reviving the experience of the old Sports Day, the Anseo Sports Festival took place on October 12, 2023, at the Main Stadium of Dankook University (DKU)’s Cheonan Campus. At the entrance of the Main Stadium, a bunch of food trucks were selling various foods such as chicken nuggets and baked sushi. Booths of four teams from the preliminary round are arranged on both stairs based on the Main Stadium.

 On the day, Dankookians (Students of DKU) from four teams played football, basketball, and dodgeball in three quarters and the final round. Tug-of-war battles also added to the excitement, featuring both preliminary and final rounds on the same day. Then, cheering performances were held amid the Main Stadium, captivating all the students in attendance. In addition, old sports events were added to the list so that any Dankookians could participate in the Sports Festival unconditionally. These events included a relay race, pinata, and red–light–green light. Noh Sung-hyuk (a junior in Dept. of Microbiology), a member of the soccer team S.A.M., said, “I had been training for the football-related game, but it was challenging because I could not communicate with my teammates smoothly. However, as the game progressed, we were able to genuinely enjoy it by working together step by step,” adding that he sincerely enjoyed the Sports Festival and made pleasant memories. Moreover, the student council, Baekya, introduced an event to distribute prizes or goods during the festival, aiming to keep the Dankookians in mind for the Sports Festival.

 The Anseo Sports Festival was held to encourage the active participation of the Dankookians, drawing extensive attention. It was an enjoyable moment for all the executives of the Baekya Student Council who had prepared for the event and participants. The Dankook Herald spent the rest of the semester well with the precious memories created by Dankookians during this Sports Festival.
