 A joint memorial ceremony for founders and a ceremony to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the opening of the university were held at the Jukjeon Campus of Dankook University (DKU) on November 2. President Ahn Soon-cheol, Chairman Jang Ho-seong, Honorary Chairman Jang Chung-sik, corporate officials, members of the academic affairs committee, the founder's bereaved family, and student representatives attended the Dankook Historical Museum Convention Hall. Participants had a time of condolence for the 59th anniversary of the founder, Beomjeong Jang Hyung, and the 76th anniversary of the founder, Hyedang Jo Hee-jae, as well as a time to reflect on the noble founding philosophy. They listened to Jang Hyung's voice from his lifetime and laid flowers on the founder's portrait of the deceased.

   After the memorial ceremony, over 600 people, including corporate representatives, university officials, and recipients of the DKU's commemoration citation, convened at the Music Hall for the 76th-anniversary ceremony. Participants pridefully reminisced about the 76-year history and pledged to make a brilliant leap toward the '100 years of DKU's foundation’. Faculty members received the award acknowledging their long service and contribution to the university's development at the ceremony.

   Chairman Jang Ho-sung, President Ahn Soon-cheol, and Chairman Lee Sang-bae delivered congratulatory remarks during the ceremony. President Ahn Soon-cheol stated, “Our university has achieved remarkable results in industry-academia collaboration within emerging fields like semiconductors, future automobiles, medical bio, and hydrogen energy. Additionally, we reached a milestone of 100 billion won in extracurricular research funds by the end of October.” He urged university members and the 230,000-strong alumni community to unite on the path of great innovation as the institution moves towards its new '100 years of DKU's foundation.’
