"What is your blood type?". Recently, we can easily hear this question in our society. This means 'blood type culture' is settled on our society and it's divided into a various way such as prediction by fortuneteller, the way of loosing weight and the character of blood types. Among them, character distinguished by blood types occupy a big part. This means many people judge near people by their blood type.

Type AB

mental disease, manic depressive, genius or idiot, curious, unashamed

Type A

introspective, perfectism, narrow mind, sincere, hot tempered

Type B

quick tempered, self-centered, casanova, free and easy,

highly competitive, adventurous

Type O

cheerful, popular, overacted, talkative

Upper chart is an example of each personality distinguished by blood types. Do you believe this groundless rumor floating on Internet? However, this story believed by many people is just a gossip with no scientific reason. From now on, the Dankook Herald will explain 'character of each blood type' is not true.

Above all, we find out the origin of the characters of blood types. In 1916, Dr. Kimata hara who was a japanese to have been to Germany for study announced the survey that blood types are related to the character of people. In 1925, japan's army and navy started to survey the blood types of soldiers, but they thought the data to be used for knowing their strong and weak point, a crucial relation between blood types and character was not revealed. Because of the influence, Hurakawa who was a instructor in the teacher's college of Tokyo girls to study Philosopher reported a treatise, <Temperament Study by Blood Types> to investigate 100 people in 1927, Aug and suggested a standard sorting characters on the basis of blood types.

The effects of the treatise made the blank to write a blood type on company application. This was due to the belief that volunteer's character affect to adapt firms somewhat. However, this theory did not get the supports and, after all, disappeared. The book of writer 'No-omi' influenced by this theory <the humanics of a blood type> was popular in japan and the thought that blood types have something to do with personalities was spreaded out. In korea, it was assumed that theory spread out as such japan's books were translated and quoted.

As above illustrated, the story that blood type affect character has no scientific evidences. The story is a fiction written by the writer No omi. Whereas, there are evidences that blood types impact the personalities of people. The evidence is the population ratio on the basis blood types of several countries.

Above table shows the population ratio on the basis blood types of several countries. You can figure out that the population ratio as blood type is irregular on each nation through the table. If the people of the same blood type have same character types, all peru's indians should say too much, overact and be popular to everyone. But, evidently, there will be people who are not popular and do not say much among them.

In order to suggest another evidence, the Dankook Herald make a research to the Dankookians on the assumption that blood type affects the character of people, people would select their personality.

Above table is data for students to answer. Major participants think No Hong-chul who likes peculiar and odd activities has AB-type but his real blood type is O-type and Jung Hyung-Don doing timidly has A-type but, actually, he is O-type. If blood type effect the character of people, participants would choose entertainer's character easily but they do not.

So far, we have shown the basis that blood type is regardless of characters. It is 'the population ratio of several countries' and the survey done by the Dankook Herald that say the blood types don't have an effect on the personality of people. We can believe this opinion just fun but it is wrong for us to guess people's character by the story not proved, 'blood type character'. Through this article, we wish Dankookians do not make the mistake that they judge other people's characters on the basis of blood type.
