For 11 days and 9 nights, from June 19 to 29, Cheonan Campus and Korea Polytechnic University conducted volunteer work in Mongolia. The volunteer work had nothing to do with grades, every students chose a special type of service and a general type of service.
Volunteer work started in Gachuurt outside of Ulaanbaatar, volunteers made a base camp in this area was called '85school'. Volunteers taught English, Korean, Taekwondo and basic computer skills. Next they painted the side of a fence and made stairs. Lastly, medical students treated Mongolians through the medical service. Mongolia's daily temperature range made working conditions difficult but it was the first time that the two universities joined together for volunteer work, which made it a significant event for our school, This overseas volunteers program will raise our school's image and student's capability.
